In Loving Memory of Morgan Dale Clark September 23, 1957 – July 23, 2025

Morgan Dale Clark, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and grit that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born on September 23, 1957, Morgan was the embodiment of loyalty, strength, and generosity. He married the love of his life, Anne, on October 17, 1991, and together they built a life rich in family, friendship, and unforgettable stories. Morgan found joy in the simple things: casting lines in quiet waters, tracking trails through wooded paths, and lending a hand in the world of construction. If you needed help—or just a good laugh—Morgan was your guy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Rosemary Clark; siblings Michael (Sylvia) Clark and Deborah (Richard) Whittemore; daughter Megan Clark. Though their absence was deeply felt, Morgan carried their memory with grace and unshakable spirit.

Morgan is survived by his devoted wife Anne; daughters Emelia (Michael) Paff and Grace Clark; son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Steven and Chelsea Hicks; beloved grandchildren Nora Paff, Brooklyn Clark-Hicks, Benjamin Hicks, Tanner Hicks, and Charlie Pitcock; siblings Denise Montfort and Todd (Laura) Clark; as well as a cherished circle of nieces, nephews, and countless friends who knew him as both a companion and a rock.

He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for how he made others feel: welcomed, seen, and loved. Morgan brought people together, whether on a fishing trip or a Sunday barbecue, and his impact on those around him was as solid and enduring as the homes he helped build. Whether he was tapping his fingers to Lynyrd Skynyrd on a Saturday afternoon or blasting Tom Petty during a long drive, music was a vital thread in Morgan’s rhythm of life.

But Morgan’s heart had its quieter melodies too. The tender ache of “I’m crazy for tryin’ and crazy for cryin’ / And I’m crazy for lovin’ you” echoed in the way he loved—fiercely, vulnerably, and without apology. And when life pressed heavy, as it sometimes did, there was truth in “So if I say I’m fine / Just know I learned to hide it well.” Morgan didn’t just know the lyrics—he felt them. Music didn’t just play through the speakers; it played through him. Morgan lived as an example for those around him, embodying the words of AC/DC “Take a chance/ while you still got the choice” often imparting his own words of wisdom, “Heads Up, Eyes front” to his nearest and dearest.
