Monica Cage

Monica Cage, age 50, of Anderson, passed away at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital on September 16, 2023. She was born on April 26, 1973, to Jack Cage and Deborah (Beeman) Huffman.

Monica was a graduate of Anderson High School, Class of 1991. She later went on to earn several associate degrees. Monica loved many things, but her true passion was heavy metal music. She loved attending concerts, truly living life to the fullest. She was an avid colt’s fan; she was artist and enjoyed painting. She had a huge heart for animals. She had a witty sense of humor, being one of the realest, most genuine people you could ever meet. You never had to question where you stood with Monica. She worked as a preschool teacher for many years before becoming a home health aide. Monica loved her family dearly and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Monica is survived by her daughter Myla Carmack; mother Debbie Huffman (Joe Hennis); brother Mike Cage; nieces Jordan and Kaylen Cage; aunts Anita Walker (Dan), Deanna Bassett (Bob), Donna Price (Tracy); Uncle Moses Beeman (Paul); cousins Melanie Smith (Bart), Angie Hancock (John), Holly Hester, Tom Bassett, Tracy Price II (Erica), Casey Martin (Blaine), Merrill Daughtery, Ashley Halladay (Carl), Stephanie Beeman, and Eric Kennedy (Sarah).

She is preceded in death by her son Keeton M. Carmack, father Jack Cage, sweet dog Mille, grandpa Dean Beeman, aunt Karen Thompson, Aunt Kowinna, cousin Rob Colville, and Cousin Shaun Price.

Cremation was handled through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Anderson.
