Michael Lee Porter

Michael Lee Porter, age 64, of Anderson, passed away on June 3, 2022, after a long-fought battle with ALS. He was born on September 17, 1957, to John Lee Porter and June Maxine Porter.

Michael was a graduate of Anderson High School, Class of 1975. He was a proud member of the Eagle Scouts growing up. He was a true free spirit in every sense. He was a wonderful man who would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael is survived by his daughter Meagan Porter (Dallas Bowling); grandson Avery Bowling; siblings Mark Porter and Debbie Buckner (Terry); stepmother Elizabeth Porter; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by both parents listed above.

Cremation was chosen through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
