Michael Eugene Sheets

Michael Eugene Sheets left his earthly home on June 22, 2023, to enter into eternal life. Mike was a lifetime resident of Indianapolis, born on September 18, 1958. He was the oldest of two boys.  He was a 1976 graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School and a graduate of Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis.

His day job was as an audio-video sales and installation specialist, most recently with Ovation Audio Video, but his passion was writing, playing and collecting music.  He was also an avid toy and tiki collector. Mike was one of the friendliest and most outgoing people around, and as a result he also had more friends than any earthly possessions.

We are thankful for the gift of Mike’s life while on this earth.

Mike is survived by his brother, Jeffery Paul Sheets (Karen Lynne Sheets), and his niece, Courtney.  Mike was predeceased by his parents, Robert Eugene Sheets and Shirley Anne Sheets (Haffner), and his dog, Casey, who was adored by all who met him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday August 13, 2023, at 3 pm. Please contact a mutual friend for the address. Refreshments and BBQ smoked by Tony Philputt will be served, with Billy Stines on the ones and twos. If you have a fond story about Mike please consider sharing it at the Celebration.
