Michael Alan Achenbach Jr.

November 20, 1992 — March 8, 2020

Anderson, Indiana

Michael “Mike” Alan Achenbach, Jr., 27, lost his last match Sunday, March 8th, 2020, at his home. He was born November 20, 1992, in Anderson, IN., and graduated as part of the Anderson High School Class of 2011.

Michael was a devoted son, brother, fiancé, friend, and proud, soon-to-be father. He truly tried to make the world a better place for everyone. He was hard-headed, yet wise beyond his years, and so unbelievably compassionate. He would always be the first person to literally run to your rescue, put you in your place, or give you the shirt off his own back, if that is what he believed needed done.

Though he had a passion for fighting and MMA, it’s the love he shared for others that never went unnoticed. The beautiful way he touched our lives, sometimes with only a small, crooked smile, will never be forgotten. Michael always tried to make people laugh when they were down in the dumps. His smile was unique, and special, you could never forget it. He was an amazing man. He didn’t care if he was okay, he would always take care of the people he loved and cared for first.

He is survived by so many because to have known Michael is to have loved him, and for him to have loved you. His parents Stacey (Bryan) Richardson, Mickey (Sherry) Stephens, and Michael Achenbach Sr.; His brothers: Nicholas (Madison) Stephens, Joshua and Aayden Stephens, Braden Richardson, and George Stokes; Sisters: Hannah Achenbach, Nanami Marie and Airi Cynthia Bryant; Grandparents: Lula Urey, Jeanne (Joseph Kershner) Clarkson, Paul (Vicki) Achenbach, Sherrie Stephens, Glen (Tina) Stephens, Robert Richardson and Tonya Lester; Fiancé: Victoria Tuttle, and their unborn Baby Achenbach; Uncles: Kent Urey, Scott (Eun) Brewster, Joseph (Seiji) Bryant, Brad (Carey) Richardson, and Justin Chambers; along with so many special cousins, family, teammates & friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather: Kent Urey and step-mom: Cynthia Achenbach.
