Miceala Sue "Mickie" Crail

Miceala Sue “Mickie” Crail was born in Indianapolis on November 26, 1982, and she passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 43 after a long battle with lupus.

Throughout her life, Mickie enjoyed listening to music, watching TV/movies, and snuggling with animals, especially her many cats over the years. Mickie had an eye for fashion and was always adamant about having a complete outfit, even when she did not feel the best. Mickie would often match the energy of those she was talking to, either by being the voice of reason, or by being the person ready to help when things got dicey. She was quick witted, sassy, and always knew what to say to make a person smile. Mickie was fiercely loyal and did everything she could to protect the people that she loved, often putting their needs above her own. Mickie worked hard to have a unique relationship with each of her family members by putting forth intentional effort to make them feel special in their own ways.

Mickie is survived by her significant other of 12 years, Christopher Brown; her three children: Tyler (Alex) Crail, Samantha (Kaleb) Crail, and Christian (Jasmyne) Harden; two bonus daughters: Haley Brown and Alyssa Brown. Mickie also leaves behind six grandchildren, her siblings: Monica Crail and Kyle (Libby) King; her nephews Jakob Whiteman, Aaron Southworth, and Ryan Southworth; a niece, Natalie Southworth; and stepmother, Kimberly King whom she affectionately referred to as “woman.” Mickie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Linda Grace (Bonham) Crail.

A Celebration of Life for Mickie is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00PM at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis located at 1604 W. Morris Street. Mickie Crail’s journey was one of grace and quiet courage. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by those who held her close in life and now hold her in memory.
