Melissa Lou (Leeper) Ritter

Melissa Lou (Leeper) Ritter passed away on August 1, 2022, at the home of her son in Anderson, Indiana.

She was born July 10, 1943, to John Ivan and Lilly (Arentz) Leeper. Melissa grew up in Lewistown and after graduation attended The Art Institute of Chicago. She later became a beautician.

She married William (Bill) Ritter on July 25, 1965.

Melissa worked numerous jobs throughout her life as the family relocated to Ohio and eventually Indiana. She worked at Janus developmental in Indiana and Skills in Lewistown.

She was a member of the lady Moose.

Melissa is survived by her son, Derrick (Judi), grandchildren Cory of Anderson and Breann of Jacksonville, Fl.

She has siblings Shirley Tate and John (Cathy) Leeper of Lewistown, Pa and sisters-in-law Dottie (Brian) Myers and Phyllis Moyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fame Ambulance, Lewistown, Pa who brought her safely to Indiana.

A private memorial service will take place.
