Melissa Diana Hoskins

In loving memory of Melissa D. Hoskins, a cherished soul who suddenly passed away at her
home in Indianapolis on July 20th, 2023, at the age of 55. Born on December 23rd, 1967, in the
heart of Indianapolis, IN, Melissa was the beloved daughter of Murray F. and Retta D .

A shining example of dedication and commitment, Melissa dedicated 22 years of her life as the
mail room manager for the esteemed non-profit organization, Disciples of Christ. Beyond her
professional accomplishments, she was a woman of diverse passions, finding joy in ceramic
painting, the art of crocheting, and the thrill of adventure puzzle games.

Melissa also had a deep love for animals, over the course of her life she raised a snake, a few
ferrets, multiple cats & dogs, and even a prairie dog named Bentley. Her compassion and
nurturing nature enriched the lives of these cherished pets, leaving a legacy of love and care that
will always be remembered.

On August 2nd, 2023, we gather to pay our respects during the visitation hours
of 12 :30 pm to 3pm, at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, located at N 5215 Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46226. For those unable to attend, we extend an invitation to join us for a celebration of

Melissa leaves behind a profound legacy, touching the lives of her loving husband, Rick
Hoskins; her cherished children, Justin Mcburnie and Jordan McMorris; and her adored
grandchildren, Ka leigh Mcburnie, Makenna Mcburnie, and Jace Mcburnie. Her presence will
forever be cherished by her dear sisters, Melinda Holcomb, Cheryl McMorris, and Lynne Steffus,
and her brother, Kevin Sedam, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In every interaction, Melissa radiated a warm and nurturing light, uplifting all those fortunate
enough to cross her path. Her love and care transcended boundaries, reaching beyond those she
met to touch countless lives. Although we mourn her passing, we take solace in the knowledge
that her memory will never fade away.

As we bid farewell to Melissa, we celebrate the impact she made, the love she shared, and the
inspiration she provided. Let us carry her legacy within our hearts, honoring her memory with
the same warmth and kindness that she bestowed upon us. May she rest in eternal peace,
knowing that she will be forever missed but never forgotten.
