Marytheresa Mazzuca

March 31, 1953 — April 13, 2024

Marytheresa Anne Mazzuca passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 71.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on March 31, 1953, where she lived until volunteering for the US Women’s Army Corps (WAC) during the Vietnam War Era.

Marytheresa dedicated her life to her children and to the welfare of others through support of organizations combatting poverty and social injustice and promoting conservation and animal rights.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Edward and Marie Fagan, her birth mother, Margaret (Peggy) Oswald, with whom she was reunited after 50 years apart, and her siblings Rosemarie Keegan and Edward Fagan, Jr.

Beloved by her family, Marytheresa is survived by her husband of 30 years (Steven), her children, Molly Hamilton nee Farley (Richard), Andrew Mazzuca (Meredith), Megan Farley (Patrick Bruner), Kristopher Farley (Kelly Meenach), Kaitlin Hernandez nee Farley (Eduardo), Kate Mazzuca (Kyle Sons), and grandchildren, Jasper Sons, Wynter Sons, Riley Atnip, Eleanor (Nora) Sons, Alexandra Mazzuca, Charlie Mazzuca, Daniel Mazzuca, Cora Hernandez, and Theodore Sons. Many friends and relatives also will take comfort in her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Poor People’s Campaign to honor Marytheresa’s compassionate, charitable spirit.
