Mary Alyne Yantis

Mrs. Mary Alyne Yantis (née Akers), aged 81, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana. Born on June 4, 1944, in Tyler, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Alice and Marvin Akers. 

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Yantis. She is survived by her children: Laura Kessler (Stacy Kessler), Jennifer Lachey (Marc Bazin), John Yantis, James Yantis, and Mary Yantis (Robert Mesa). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Rachel Kessler, Julia Kessler, Lilian Bazin, Lucile Bazin, and Penelope Mesa. 

A woman of many passions, Mary had an enduring love for cooking and baking. She found joy in creating meals that brought people together and was an avid fan of the Food Network. Her enthusiasm for culinary arts was matched only by her affection for dogs, who held a special place in her heart. 

Mary’s memory will be treasured by all who knew her. May her life serve as a reminder of the warmth and love she shared with those around her.
