Mary Shelton

Mary (Hoskins) Shelton, 82, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at her home. She was born in Leslie County, Kentucky on June 17, 1943, to Elisha Hoskins and Flora (Tolliver) Hoskins.

Mary Was Proceeded in Death by her late husband, James Widow Shelton; parents, Elisha Hoskins and Flora (Tolliver) Hoskins; brother, Waldo Hoskins; and one daughter, Angela (Shelton) Gibon, and a grandson, Kenneth JR Gibon.

She is survived by one brother, Doug Hoskins; three sisters, Grace Ownby, Liz Long, and Darlene Leatherwood; two daughters, Linda (Shelton) Marcum, Patricia (Shelton) Rice; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren, and many friends.

Mary Was a wonderful caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was a homemaker for her whole life. She loved taking care of her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren that she loved dearly. She always made time for her family and friends.

Those who knew Mary should be very thankful. She was a special lady and will leave a big hole in our hearts.

We love and miss you already, but we are all going to be ok. We know we will meet again when it is our time. You are with the angels, fly high.
