Mary Collignon Harper, 102, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2022, from natural causes.
Mary was born March 31, 1920, to the late Paul & Effie Collignon. As a young woman, during WWII, she worked as a waitress at Maplehurst when they had a restaurant on Farnsworth Ave.
After the war she went to work for Bridgeport Brass serving as the administrative support for over 30yrs, from which she retired.
Some of her many interests were travel, dancing, and gardening. The birds in her garden were of special joy to her daily. She was active in many social activities and particularly enjoyed
her friendship and participation in the Red Hat Society.
Her passion in life was yoga. Mary actively practiced yoga, vibrantly through her 99th year. She was an inspiration to those around her.
Mary is survived by her brother; James Collignon, nephews; Phil, Jeff, Randal, David, and Gary Collignon, Mike, Don and Chriss Wiwi, and nieces; Sandy Whitley, and Anne Adams.
Mary was preceded by her parents, and siblings; Paul L. Collignon and Catherine Wiwi.
Mary will be entombed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 1:00pm.
