Marty Lee Mason

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marty Lee Mason, 60, a beloved son, devoted friend, and an active contributor to his community. Marty peacefully departed from this world on October 6, 2023, in his home in Carmel, Indiana, with his mother by his side. 
Born on February 28, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Marty brought joy and laughter to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His genuine compassion, infectious smile, and warm personality touched the lives of countless individuals throughout his life.
Marty's love for people was unparalleled. He was able to work in various capacities throughout his life and he took such pride in his work. His cheerful demeanor brightened the days of family and friends alike.
Marty was deeply involved with Hollis Adams Foundation. He attended their day program and weekly dances as well as their special events. He was loved by all there and he loved them back. 
Marty loved his community. He was an active member of the Trailblazers Bowling League where he formed enduring friendships and created cherished memories. Additionally, Marty spent many years in the Special Olympics track and field program.  Marty volunteered at Down Syndrome Indiana, making a positive impact on the lives of those he encountered. He extended his dedication to others by delivering meals for Meals on Wheels. Marty was an active member of Hope Covenant Evangelical Church and attended Connection Ministries, a Bible Study for adults with special needs.
Marty was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his mother, Vicki Dayan. Her memories of Marty as a kind and compassionate soul will forever hold a special place in her heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry E Mason and his step-father Martin E Dayan.
In honor of Marty's remarkable life, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Hope Covenant Evangelical Church, 8615 Spring Mill Road, Indianapolis, IN at 2:00pm. Friends, family, and all who knew Marty are invited to join in a heartfelt celebration of his life and to share their cherished memories. 
Marty Lee Mason may no longer be with us, but his incredible spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the joy and love he brought into our lives. May he find eternal peace and his memory forever be a blessing to us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hope Covenant Evangelical Church, the Hollis Adams Foundation or Down Syndrome Indiana, reflecting Marty's unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
