Marion "Ed" Edward Hedgecraft

Marion Edward (Eddie) Hedgecraft, 74, born March 10, 1948, in Anderson, died September 25, 2022. Son of Edward Hedgecraft Sr. and Helen Bucci-Hedgecraft-Farley.

He attended Anderson High School. He later retired from RCA-Thompson in 2005 after 37 and ½ years. He also worked at Heartland Resort in Greenfield and Community Northview Care Center. He was a huge Colts fan and he enjoyed auctions with his buddy J.R. Short.

Ed is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patty; sons Brian Hedgecraft (Tonya), Scott Hedgecraft (Jonnie Davidson); grandchildren Scott Hedgecraft II (Taylor Walker), Kylee Hedgecraft (Shiloh Lemon), and Josh Owen; great-grandchildren Kayliana, Kaidyn, Faithe, Ellie, Journey, Breighlea, SJ, Harrison, and Nolan; brothers James (Teresa Farley), Mike (Katrina Farley), Don Farley, John Farley (Sherry); sisters Mary Shelton, Carolyn Townsend, Anna Kelly; Also, brother and sister-in-laws, aunts and uncles, nephews and nieces, and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father Edward Hedgecraft Sr., stepfather and mother Clayton and Helen Farley, brothers Edward Hedgecraft Jr., David Hedgecraft, sisters Sara Wasson and Mammie Sweigart, and several aunts, uncles, brother, and sister-in-laws.

Ed was proud to be a donor and help anyone he could. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Anderson Community M.D. Cancer Center in memory of Ed.

A visitation will be held on Friday September 30, 2022, from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.
