Maria R. Pierce, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 12, 2018. She was born on July 17, 1936 in Sohren, Germany to the late Mathias and Eva (Schmidt) Jung. Maria met her husband, James, at Hahn Air Force Base, while he was stationed in Germany.
Maria is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Pierce Sr.; sons, James Pierce Jr., David Pierce, and Bobby Pierce; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above.
Services will be at 1pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with visitation starting at 12pm until the start of the service. Burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers, IN.
