Margaret Catherine (Holt) Slinker

Margaret Catherine (Holt) Slinker 77, of Indianapolis, a loving Mother and Nana passed away on Sunday evening, January 1, 2023.  Margaret was born in Indianapolis, IN to William Henry Holt and Helen Holt Hostetler on October 13, 1945.  She was a devoted wife to Marion Floyd Slinker for over 50 years, and an extremely dedicated mother to three daughters Sherrie Lynn (Steve) Vaughan, Tina Marie (Jeff) Warden and Patricia Kay Steele. She had eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren that she absolutely adored. She held many positions in her career but her most favorite was being a Nanny to Amanda, Benton and Megan Fletcher for over 30 years.  Family and friends meant everything to her, she loved to entertain and was known for her amazing cooking skills. Her door was always wide open, and everyone was welcomed at her table. She loved helping others and would be the first to respond to any need. She held a very special relationship with her best friend Teresa Kay (Bill) Kleinschmidt for 58 years that was cherished to the very end. She is also survived by three loving sisters, Tuttie Thomas, Lou Lamb and Mary Bewley.  She will be greatly missed by many immediate and extended family members as well as her many friends – all of which she considered family.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday February 14th at 10am, Floral Park Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
