LouAnn Moreland Cummins went to be with Jesus on January 31st, 2026 after a brief illness. She was born on December 25th, 1949 to Robert and Delorse Moreland in Anderson, IN.
LouAnn was a 1968 graduate of Anderson High School. After graduation she went to work at Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance center where she was recognized and awarded for many achievements. She also served as secretary at Church of Linwood. She was a very caring, loving person with a wonderful sense of humor. She married the late Jack Cummins, whom she met at church.
LouAnn is survived by sisters Alice Allen Richey, Sandra (Steve) Phillips, and brother Jim (LeAn) Moreland all of Anderson, IN. Step-sons Jack (Sylvia) Cummins of Pendleton KY, and Fred (Chris) Cummins of Austin, TX; grandchildren Austin Cummins, Tyler (Emily) Alt, Dalton Cummins, Chase (Mary Grace) Cummins, Clara (Tristen) Boggs, and Jacob Cummins; 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friends Buddy (the late Joyce) Patterson, Georgia (Darrell) Davidson, Jenny Moreland and Neomi Wiles; as well as special caregivers niece Tori Pickett and nephew David Finley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother David Moreland, and nephew Brian Harney.
The family would like to thank the Community Hospice team that took wonderful care of LouAnn, as well as Longfellow Plaza.
At LouAnn’s request she is being cremated, and a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
