Lisa Pleasant December 12, 1964 – May 11, 2025
Lisa Pleasant, born on December 12, 1964, in Kokomo, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Lisa was known for her kind and selfless heart. She touched countless lives through her generosity and care. Her greatest joy and proudest role was as a mother. Her daughter, Rachel, was her entire world—the light of her life and her most cherished blessing. Lisa found beauty in the simple things: fresh flowers, the sound of the ocean, and time spent with family. Lisa shared her life with her loving husband. Through the many years they were together they made a lifetime of memories by each other’s side.
She is survived by her dear husband, Paul Pleasant; her beloved daughter, Rachel Pleasant; her sister, Lainie Taylor; and her husband's siblings, Debbie Ryan and Steve Pleasant. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Lisa was preceded in death by her loving parents, George and Connie Taylor; her loving parent in-laws, Ralph and Glenna Pleasant; her grandparents; as well as treasured aunts and uncles who have also preceded her in death.
Devoted to her roles as a wife and mother, Lisa gave her whole heart to her family, often placing the needs of others before her own. Professionally, she was equally dedicated. At the time of her passing, she held two roles: as a Benefits Information Network Liaison, where she guided individuals through important health insurance information, and as a Direct Support Professional for the state of Indiana, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to helping others.
Lisa’s warmth, strength, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you consider making a donation to support Rachel in honoring her mother’s memory by sponsoring an Angel Tree child this Christmas. Christmas was Lisa’s favorite holiday—a season she cherished for its spirit of giving. She found great joy in participating in Angel Tree donations, bringing happiness to children in need.
