Lisa Ann Belcher-Moss, born October 4, 1945, to Mattie Rebecca Altman-Belcher and George Belcher, peacefully passed away on August 2nd 2025 with her family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of everyone she knew with her warmth and kindness.
On February 3, 1965, Lisa married her soulmate, Jerry W. Moss. Their union was a testament to love, faith, and devotion that lasted a lifetime. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared many cherished moments.
Lisa was a devoted mother to her children: Monica Smith and her husband Allen of Lafayette, IN; Aleda Stansberry and her husband Tim of Frankton, IN; and Eric Moss and Holly of Claremont, NC. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Justin Jones, Brittney Clark, Madison Jones, Rex Stansberry, Teri Kidwell, Haylee Stansberry, Tre Bond, and Saphrone Seidel, Chase Seidel and Jacob Brown as well as
Twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Moss, her sister Shelby Jean Hayes, her grandson Justin Jones, and her niece Angel Wheeler. She is survived by her sister Jennette Pope, her brothers Jimmy Belcher and Buddy Belcher from Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A woman of deep faith, Lisa loved her family with her whole heart. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow into wonderful adults and celebrating the arrival of her beautiful great-grandchildren. Her faith, her love for the Lord, and her family gave her strength and purpose every day. Known for her warm spirit and love of gospel music, Lisa was dedicated to her church community and enjoyed singing hymns with her husband, spreading joy and inspiration wherever she went.
Lisa worked at Parkview Nursing Home for 25 years, where she formed lasting friendships and shared her love of music and faith. She cherished moments spent with her family and friends, especially seeing her loved ones and making memories together.
Lisa will be cremated, and her and Jerry’s souls will be reunited forever. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her. Special thanks to Teri Rex and Haylee for their unwavering care and support, and to Brenda Neff for always visiting and bringing family to see her. Mom enjoyed seeing her loved ones and cherished every moment spent with family.
Mom and Dad will whisper in the winds of Alabama, reminiscing about there wonderful life they shared. Thank you Jeff and Brenda Moss for letting them fly High.
Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully, embraced by the Lord she loved so.
