Linda Garner

Linda Thornberry Garner, 76, joined her lord in Heaven on December 19 after a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter Stacy Carr (husband Jarek), son Christopher Garner (wife Heather), grandchildren Cash Garner, Quinn and Max Carr, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by parents Irvan and Dorothy Thornberry, and brother Irvan M. Thornberry.

Linda was born in Hammond, Indiana on October 19, 1947. She attended Dyer High School and loved playing in the marching band. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from ISU. Among other jobs, she worked at Sears and Insight/Comcast for many years.

Linda was a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to everyone she met. Her selfless nature and giving heart defined her. She will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial will be held at Legacy Funeral Home on December 27 at 1:00pm to 3:00pm, with a service starting at 3:00pm.
