Libby Lou Cox, age 82, of Indianapolis passed away August 2, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Pineville, Kentucky, to Richard and Lucy (Slusher) Brummett on June 23, 1941. Libby married Robert Cox and was a wife, mother, and homemaker. In addition to taking care of her family and home, Libby enjoyed cooking for her family, especially biscuits and sausage. She also loved completing Word Searches and solving crossword puzzles. Libby enjoyed watching game shows, too.

Libby is survived by her children: Vivian Cox and Jeff Myers, Janice Sue Cox, Mike (Tonya) Cox, Jeff Cox, Kenny (Laura) Cox, Alan Cox. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Several of Libby’s siblings also survive: Shirley (Walter) Ballou, Brenda (James) Davis, Jerry (Mable) Brummett, and Slusher (Viola) Brummett.

Libby Cox is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Cox. Others in her family who had passed before her include her sons: Bruce Cox and Wayne Cox; a daughter, Jeanette Cox; and her grandson, Michael Cox, Jr. affectionately known as “Biscuit.” Libby’s siblings, who preceded her in death include Ruby Bryant, Donnie Brummett, Randall Brummett, Hubert Brummett, Warner Brummett, and George Brummett.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 3pm until 5pm at 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis, IN 46221

Burial will be in Kentucky at Brummett Cemetery, and services will be provided by Arnett Funeral Home.
