Lesa Jo Sigler, born on December 2, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her hometown on July 6, 2026. Her life, rooted from beginning to end in Indianapolis, was marked by resilience, warmth, and enduring connections with family and friends.
Lesa was a funny and outgoing person whose care for others knew no bounds. The significance Lesa placed on family was evident throughout her life. Whether sharing heartfelt conversations with her loved ones or offering gentle support in times of need, she brought comfort, understanding, and a steadfast spirit to those closest to her. Her daughter Sheena said that "everybody called her mom," a testament to Lesa's kind and loving heart. Her kindness extended to animals, as well. She had many dogs and cats during her lifetime which she loved and cared for, and this led to her career as a veterinarian technician at Noah's Animal Hospital. Lesa also loved going with the family to the Indianapolis Zoo. Spending time with family meant the world to Lesa whether they were going to the zoo or going fishing or going to one of Douglas' fishing tournaments.
Lesa Jo Sigler was a beloved daughter of Les Landrey and Joyce Danner, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her brother Jeff Landrey and her stepfather Lowell Danner. Her loving partner and companion, Douglas McKinley, preceded her in death, as well. Though she experienced the loss of cherished family members throughout her life, Lesa met each challenge with quiet strength and grace.
She is remembered dearly by her daughter, Sheena Landrey, who survives her and will carry forward Lesa’s legacy of love and perseverance. Lesa also leaves behind her stepmother, Kathy Landrey; and her stepbrother, Bobby Landrey. These individuals, along with all whose lives she touched, mourn her passing while also reflecting on the kindness, empathy, and honesty that defined her character.
A graveside service will be held to honor and remember Lesa's life on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10:00am at Floral Park Cemetery, 425 North Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the lasting impact Lesa had on all who had the privilege to know her.
Lesa Jo Sigler’s journey was one of grace and quiet courage. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by those who held her close in life and now hold her in memory.
