Kyle Ray Brown

Kyle Ray Brown, of Middletown, Indiana, passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer, on September 14, 2026, at the age of 64.

Born on April 1, 1962, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kyle was raised in Port Huron, Michigan, where he attended Central High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Kyle also achieved the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout, a reflection of the leadership, dedication, and determination that would define his life.

A man of many talents and interests, Kyle had worked in law enforcement and was highly trained in firearms. He was deeply knowledgeable and passionate about firearm collecting, a hobby he pursued throughout his life.

Kyle was also a gifted musician. He seemed able to pick up nearly any instrument and play it with ease. He especially enjoyed playing the piano and bass guitar. He performed in several bands over the years. Music was one of his greatest joys and a way he connected with others.

Known for his loyalty, quick wit, and larger-than-life personality, Kyle loved collecting unique and interesting items and was always ready to make a deal. He enjoyed "wheeling and dealing," finding treasures, and sharing stories about his latest finds. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited motorcycle.

Above all, Kyle was deeply loved by his family and friends. He was the funny uncle and a devoted brother.

Kyle is survived by his siblings, Kristen Brown and Keith (Mary) Brown; his niece, Kateland Baker; and his nephew, Nicholas Baker. He is also survived by his biological siblings, with whom he was reunited later in life: Shelly Weston, Sheryl MacIntyre, Djuana MacIntyre, and Angie Jewell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Freida Brown; his nephews, Joshua Kelch and Steven Kelch; and his half-sister, Mindy MacIntyre.

Kyle's life was marked by service, talent, and unwavering loyalty. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Military Honor Service will be held in Michigan at a later date.
