Kenya Nicole Mitchell

Kenya was born on January 30, 2001, in Evanston, Illinois to her parents, Anthony and Nicole Mitchell. Kenya attended Special Education in Chicago, Illinois. Kenya loved music and engaging with visitors from time to time.

On Sunday, July 5, 2026, God called one of his best angels home! Kenya leaves to celebrate her life, (mother) Nicole Jacobs, (father) Anthony Mitchell (Tia), siblings Arieanna Mitchell, Kendall Jacobs, Melya Mitchell.

Kenya was an aunt to Kaiden, K'myah and Kori Jacobs. (Aunts) Tracey Jacobs and Ora Mosley, also friends, cousins and care givers. (Uncle) Kenneth Jacobs, who preceded her in death.

Kenya loved her nurses and they loved her back! A very special thank-you to Asia and Ms. Janice, both of whom took excellent care of Kenya!
