Greenfield, Indiana

Keith S. Hatfield, of Greenfield, Indiana, was born on March 3, 1952, and passed away peacefully on the morning of October 12, 2026.

Keith was a well-loved man who was adored by so many. To his family, he was affectionately known as “Big Sexy,” a nickname that will undoubtedly bring smiles and fond memories for years to come. Keith loved to laugh and enjoyed sharing moments of joy with those around him. His personality, humor, and love for the people in his life made him someone who will never be forgotten.

Keith enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially fishing, camping, playing poker, cheering on his beloved Chicago Cubs, and listening to his favorite band, The Beatles. Whether enjoying the outdoors, listening to music, sharing a laugh, or spending time with the people he loved most, Keith cherished the moments that made life special. Above all else, his family was his greatest love and the most important part of his life. The memories they created together will be treasured for generations.

Keith leaves behind his loving wife, Brenda Hatfield; his daughters, Shelby Couch (Kyle) and Jessica L. McKinney (Pete); and his son, Brian Hatfield (Abigail). He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Durham (Stephen); his brother, Ted Hatfield (Darlene); his grandsons, Jordyn Hatfield (Taylor) and Jacob Mitchell; his granddaughter, Ashlynn Stone; his great-granddaughter, Ember Jean Hatfield; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who adored him.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Theodore Hatfield; his sister, Beth Scott; his nieces, Ashley Burton and Bitsy Durham; and many extended family members and friends whom he cared about deeply.

Keith leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and countless friends whose lives were made better by knowing him. His laughter, his love of music, his passion for fishing and camping, his loyalty to the Cubs, and the special memories he created with those he loved will live on in the hearts of all who knew and adored him. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he leaves behind will never fade.
