Kathy M. Madison

Kathy Marlette Madison, 64, of Indianapolis, was called home the morning of October 21, 2022, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis after a lengthy battle with cancer. Kathy was born January 18, 1958, in Xenia, OH to the late Arthur and Mary Smith. Kathy was the youngest of five siblings, Delaney Smith, Kenny Smith, Barry Smith and Theresa Chafin, all who preceded her in death. Kathy was a member of the Lawrence Central High School graduating class of 1976 and later had a career in administrative roles and as a data analyst. She was a lover of her dogs, Rocky and Molly, HGTV, Food Network and Animal Planet. She leaves behind a loving son, Garrett (Rene) Finnigan, of Indianapolis, sister-in-law, Jan Smith, multiple grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a longtime soulmate and companion, Terry Ferguson, of Indianapolis.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 11, 2022, at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, 5215 Shadeland Avenue in Indianapolis promptly at 5:00pm, with a reception and gathering to follow until 7pm. 

In lieu of flowers, Kathy requested memorial contributions in her name made to Mabels Ride, a charitable organization part of Community Health Network that aids in helping patients transportation to and from appointments and a service she was able to utilize in her life.
