Kathleen Schlauch LoMonaco

December 16, 1949 — July 5, 2025

Kathleen Schlauch LoMonaco, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on December 16, 1949, in Queens, New York. She passed on July 5, 2025, in Fishers, Indiana, where she had made her home since 2005 for the birth of her beloved grandson, Nicholas Joseph.

Kathleen was the devoted daughter of Richard and Margaret Schlauch. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Jolie Ann Markou (Vasilios), and her cherished grandson, Nicholas Joseph, affectionately known as Nikko; and brother, William Schlauch. She is preceded in death by her sister, MaryAnn Thurnbuchler. Beyond her immediate family, Kathleen was a beloved cousin and aunt. The love and kindness of Jean Pierre captured her heart for twenty-five years. The pair adored their cats and cherished their time together.

For the majority of her life, Kathleen resided on Long Island, where she was Ms. Bethpage during her high school years. She then worked as an executive secretary in New York. In her later years, Kathleen pursued her passion for caregiving while living in Raleigh, North Carolina. Those who knew her found that Kathleen possessed an extraordinary heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Kathleen's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her loved ones, who will forever cherish her memory and the love she so generously gave. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. She will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.

We love you, Kathie.
