Kathy had a huge family she loved so very much. She took much pride in the title of Mom, Grandma, & GiGi. After the passing of their father, her 1st husband, Casey McNew, in 1986, she raised Tracy and Joey as a single mother. She remarried in 1999 to the late David Burton. She was widowed once again in 2023. Her kids were her “pride and joy” She enjoyed traveling, camping, swimming, amusement parks and just having fun times and being there for her children. She did a great job raising successful children even in tough times. She became “Grandma” for the first time at the age of 38 and she was so excited and blessed in the end with six wonderful grandchildren. She loved being with them every moment possible. The sleepovers, the movies, parks, playing games, swimming, singing (Rockin Robin was her fav) Christmas time was her favorite time to spend with family and just enjoying being with them. Just when she thought her heart was filled full of love, she got filled with more when she became a great grandma “GiGi” at 60 to 7 girls by the end of her time on earth and she could still play and have fun with them! She had the closest bond with all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved them with all her heart. She also shared a very special bond with her sister Laura and nieces and nephews. She was so very loved and cherished by so many family members and friends. Her heart was huge, and she was always there if you just needed her or her help. She never wanted for anything but time and love. Above all she loved our God and Jesus and was excited to go rejoice with the lord and savior and to see her Mommy again and many other loved ones. She will be loved and missed deeply by many.
