Karen Sue Jordan

Karen Sue Jordan, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana peacefully joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and all the saints in Heaven on Thursday, October 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Liddie (Beckett) Jordan and John Jordan and her beloved grandparents, Austin Beckett and Erma Leonard Cray.

She was blessed with her beloved Aunt Pearl (Beckett) Bridgewater whom she stayed with and visited often and Aunt Joyce Beckett; Uncles ~ Wilbur Beckett, William Beckett, Herbert Beckett, Alpha Beckett and Leonard Beckett; and her cherished cousins ~ Kim Beckett, Chris Beckett and Mary Elizabeth (Lisa) Beckett and all the family around the country.

She was raised in Loogootee, Indiana graduating from Loogootee High School in 1961. She loved music, especially praise and worship music, and her childhood passion was to become a nurse. So, she travelled to Indianapolis and graduated from one the last diploma nursing programs at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. This was one of her proudest accomplishments.

Karen lit up every room with her joyful spirit, contagious smile and her love for people. Some of her closest lifelong friends were Gary Lidell, Goldie Bomia, Donna Courtier and Diane Schueller. She loved all animals and nature, hiking often and taking photographs whenever the weather allowed with her little sweet dog, Angelbaby. Becky Lane and her adult children had the honor of assisting her throughout her sunset years.

Her faith was the most important of all to Karen. She loved God the Father, Jesus His Son and the Holy Spirit ~ the three in One, the Holy Trinity, and she loved people unconditionally. She wanted everyone to ask Jesus into their heart and have Him be their best friend forever.

Karen loved the church at large and memorial contributions may be made to Speedway United Methodist Church, Mountain T.O.P. (Tennessee Outreach Project) youth ministry in Indianapolis, Indiana.
