Justin Andrew Do, 39, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 30, 2023. He was born in South Bend, IN, on July 18, 1984, to Dung “Charlie” Do and Brenda (Boltinghouse) Shumaker. Justin was a trustworthy, hardworking, self-employed general contractor for several years. Justin was also a member of 31Svn Dance Academy -- his true passion in life. He was also a member of the local motorcycle community.
Justin loved to spend time with family or learning the next move in breakdancing. He especially loved spending time with his two sons, Gregory and David. He spent countless time with Gregory developing his wrestling skills and watching him compete. Justin loved spending time with his son David by watching movies, discussing upcoming movies, and talking with David about his goals for film design.
Justin loved connecting with his Vietnamese culture through food, celebrations and community events and was always down to try new food -- the spicier the better! If there was anything he might have loved more than breakdancing, it was going out for a ride on his motorcycle. He loved being outdoors, grilling out with friends and living life to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by Grandfather Tam Do, Grandfather Morris Murphy, Grandfather James Boltinghouse, Grandmother Thelma Duff Boltinghouse, Uncle Alan Boltinghouse, Aunt Ha Do, Uncle Hong Do, and brother Tommy Bui.
Justin is survived by his wife, Valerie Do; sons, Gregory and David; father, Charlie Do; step mother, Darlene Do; mother, Brenda Shumaker; step father, Charlie Shumaker; grandparents, Chuc Do and Janet Murphey; siblings, Beth Do-Woolard, Nikki Do; step siblings, Heather Watterson, Katie Skie; sibling-in-law, Maegan Turner; father-in-law, Scott Turner; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Turner; nephews and nieces; Robbie Do, Jonathan McCully, Paul McCully, Teagan Do, Emmitt Do, and several aunts, uncles and cousins, along with several other brothers and sisters that may not share blood, but share a bond that could never be replicated along with so many others that all held a special place in Justin’s heart along with countless extended family -- Justin didn’t have “friends,” he only ever had family.
