Julie Kay Long, 55, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on November 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on January 8, 1971, in Noblesville, Indiana, to Beecher and Sonja (Staton) Hill. She graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 1990 and went on to build a life centered on family, kindness, and service to others.

Julie was a woman who truly loved life and the people around her. She enjoyed family gatherings, camping, motorcycle rides, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for always showing up for the people she loved, whether it was a family event, a special occasion, or simply being there when someone needed her. A patient and devoted wife, she possessed a happy-go-lucky spirit, though those who knew her best understood she could be feisty when pushed. Julie never met a stranger and had a special love for her neighbors, animals, and community. She cared for neighborhood cats and was known as a giver who put others before herself. Above all, she was family-oriented and treasured every moment spent with her family.

Julie is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Dave Long; her children, Dave II (Renee) Long, Amanda Long, Megan Long, and Rebecca Long; her beloved grandchildren, Kara, Ky'Shawn, Kamariyah, Jackson, Benjamin, Kadrian, Ka'Liyah, Zoey, Jaqe'Quel, and Lakota; sisters, Sharon (Bill) Miller and Barbara Parkhurst; and Brother Joseph Faucett. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and neighbors who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Beecher Hill and Sonja (Staton) Hill; and her brothers, John Hill and Jimmie Rodgers.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Julie's life on Monday, November 9, 2026, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, Anderson. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Perkinsville Cemetery.

Julie's legacy of generosity, compassion, and unwavering love for family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
