Julie Anne Hight

Julie Hight’s legacy is one of advocacy, empowerment, and hope. Over her 30-year tenure at Heritage Christian School, Julie built and directed the Educational Support Services (ESS) program, which exists to equip students with learning differences with the tools and confidence to become successful independent learners and realize their God-given abilities. 

Julie’s heart for her ESS students was obvious to all, as was her heart for her family and for the LORD. Some of her favorite times were spent with her grandson, Landon, at his soccer games or chatting with him at her home in Noblesville, IN.

Her husband of 43 years, Dave, and her daughters, Lauren and Lindsay, were all recipients of Julie’s steadfast love, too. They reflect with fondness on Julie’s enjoyment of the simple pleasures in life – a scalding hot cup of coffee, cool mornings on the back porch, a captivating book, the sound of the ocean, or catching another beautiful sunset. 

In Julie’s final days, she continued clinging to her God, and He gave her a peace that surpassed understanding despite her circumstances. She stood on His promises of grace, strength and courage, and in doing so, she inspired many others to stand on those promises, too. She passed shortly after her 65th birthday on August 26, 2022, surrounded by God’s peace and her loving family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on September 11, 2022, at Heritage Christian School. It will begin at 3pm EST in the Fine Arts auditorium.
