Juanita June Swift

Juanita June Swift, age 84, of Anderson, passed away on February 2, 2023, in Anderson, IN. She was born on June 17th, 1938, to Claire and Margret Aborn.

She married Jerry Swift in 1954 and had 2 sons and 2 daughters before adopting 2 more sons in 1974.

She worked at community hospital in Anderson until she received a scholarship from the hospital to become a nurse. She worked as a nurse for 37 years caring for cancer patients. She moved to Florida in 1978 and lived there until Jerry’s death in 2007 when she moved back to Indiana. She learned to play the organ at 75 and played for the church of the Nazarene on Sundays. She loved to knit and crochet and gave many beautiful pieces to family and friends. She joined a Euchre club until she could no longer see well.

She is survived by one son Steven Swift and two Daughters Debra Levell and Tracy Shortall. She touched the lives of all who knew her.
