Joyce L. George, 79, of Mooresville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 17, 2023. She was born December 18, 1943, in Pineville, Kentucky, to the late Matt and Lucy Baker. She was a truly devout Christian woman who maintained a strong faith in the Lord throughout her life.
Joyce was a loving mother who leaves behind a family to cherish her memory including a daughter, Sharyle Lewis; and her son, Eric (Amy) Roberson; her grandchildren, Brandi Bannon, Rob Lewis, Haley Schneider, Landen Roberson; and great-grandchildren, Claire, River, and Raelynn. Joyce is also survived by her sister, Norma Bray, and her brother, Dwight Baker.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Maurice Baker.
A visitation for family and friends of Joyce L. George will be held Friday, December 22, 2023, from 11AM until noon at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 1604 W. Morris Street, Indianapolis, with a funeral service to follow the visitation. Burial will be at the Mooresville Cemetery.
