Joseph John Harn

Joseph John Harn, 54, of Plainfield, IN passed away on August 2, 2023. Joe was born on January 4, 1969 in Oaklawn, IL to the late Dale and Nancy Harn.

Joe graduated from Washington Township High School, Valparaiso, IN. He also graduated from Ball State University with a concentration in Graphic Design, Creative Design, Photography, Painting, Drawing, and Interior Design. Joe worked in construction most of his life.

Joe enjoyed using his creative abilities to remodel houses, restore antiques and other items, woodworking and repairing vehicles. Joe had a gift for fixing just about anything. As his friends would say, “It was Harnified!” This meant it was not going to fall apart. He enjoyed various outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, and kayaking. He also enjoyed drawing, painting and had a love for animals, especially dogs.

He was proceeded in death by his parents mentioned above.

Joe is survived by his former wife, Debbie Harn and their sons, Conner and Evan Harn. Siblings include Tracy Gunnison (Eric), Dan Harn (Sharon), and Jeni Caroselli (Mike) along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be a service to honor Joe’s life on Saturday August 12, 2023 at 5 pm at New Hope Presbyterian Church 12550 Brooks School Road, Fishers, IN 46037.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Plainfield Area Humane Society.
