Joseph Martin Alstott Jr. passed away at the age of 77 on June 13th 2025. Joe resided at a memory care facility in Carmel, IN for the last 4 years where his daughter Jill Alstott would visit him every other month. Jill was fortunate enough that he always remembered who she was. Joe had a full life, he served as a US Marine in the Vietnam War from January 1966- December 1968. Then Joe and Rita Alstott had their only child, Jill in 1970.
Joe had a love for the game of tennis through his whole life, even coaching his team to winning 3 nationals in the tennis league. He could almost always be found at the Indianapolis Raquet Club where he worked, coached, and played.
Joe, or as some would call him "Jody", also had a love for sailing and racing his Beneteau 235 on Eagle Creek. There, he proudly won the Mayor's Cup and the Governor' Cup. Joe also enjoyed playing the saxophone at times.
Joe will be buried next to his mother and father, and is survived by Jill, his brother Alan, and his sister, Sharron Cole.
