Jonathan Lee Poore, has passed away unexpectedly on January 1st, 2024, leaving behind a legacy will be remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him. Born on January 5th, 1985, in Anderson, IN, Jonathan's life was filled with passion and a determination to make the world a better place.

Jonathan was a true Jack of all trades, possessing a remarkable ability to fix anything or build anything. His expertise knew no bounds, and his ingenuity never failed to impress those around him. But beyond his remarkable technical abilities, it was Jonathan's warm heart and genuine care for others that truly set him apart. He embodied love, loyalty, and honesty in every aspect of his life. He was not only an amazing friend but also an incredible brother who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Jonathan's selflessness knew no bounds as he continuously prioritized the wants and needs of others over his own. In his free time, Jonathan found great joy in riding motorcycles, getting tattoos, and spending quality time with his cherished family and friends. 

Jonathan's untimely departure has left a void that can never be filled. He leaves behind a host of bereaved family members and friends who grieve for the loss of an extraordinary individual. Among those mourning are Lillian Poore, his beloved daughter who will treasure their shared memories forever. His passing is mourned by his parents, Dollie Merritt and Leonard Poore, who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is also survived by his brothers Rodney Poore (Elizabeth) and Joshua Poore, along with his nephew Eli, nephew Raelyn, and nephew Hudson, stepbrother Fredrick Merritt II, uncle Wayne Young (Trish), aunt Tammy, aunt Sandy Shaw (Mitchell), uncle Danny Boyer (Mary), aunt Janie Gordon, and special cousin Gary Haight. Countless other close cousins and dear friends join them in saying farewell to a beloved individual who touched their lives in countless ways.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his stepfather Fred Merritt as well as his grandparents Leonard and Lilly Poore and Clima Carr, uncle Brian Gordon, uncle Billy Gordon, uncle Steve Boyer, uncle David Gordon, aunt Athlea Reeves.


Jonathan Lee Poore will be remembered for his remarkable talents, his unwavering love for others, and the incredible impact he had on all those fortunate enough to know him. As we say our final goodbyes to Jonathan, let us celebrate his life and honor the legacy he leaves behind. May the memories of his laughter, kindness, and determination fill our hearts with love and inspire us to live each day with the same passion that defined Jonathan's remarkable existence.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2024 from 11am-1pm with a funeral service beginning at 1pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services Anderson.
