Jon Johnson

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Jon Eric Johnson Jr. from Anderson, IN at age 60 on April 22, 2024. Jon passed away surrounded by his loved ones after a very short battle with cancer. He is gone but we will never forget his fun loving nature and caring personality. .

Jon was loved by so many and was always the life of the party, ready to crack a joke or “break it down.” He would give anyone the shirt off his back and always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his family and friends more than he could ever show or say. Jon enjoyed driving his corvette to car shows, sitting in his garage, listening to music, bonfires, and boating.

Jon is survived by the “Love of His Life” of 40 plus years Deanna Johnson

Daughters - Breanna Johnson, Tiffany Dzerve (Traey Liggett), Kristen Johnson; 

Father - John Johnson Sr; 

Sister Tammy Johnson Emerson (Gary Emerson); brother in-law Brad Hampton, 

Grandchildren; Kaelynn Chandler, Jaylen Murphy, Jayda Johnson, Ryleigh Dzerve, Lilly Dzerve, Malakei Johnson, Johnalyn Johnson, Kristopher Johnson, Johnathon Johnson Jr.

Great Grandchildren - Kaesyn and Jay’Vonna

Nieces – Alicia Wheatly (Andrew) and Kara Hampton

Nephews – Jacob Wheatly (Jamie) and Braiden Hampton (Brenna Hampton)

Four Great Nephews, one Great Neice, several special friends, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Proceeded in death by Mother Judy Johnson, Son Johnathon Johnson, Mother in-law Linda Hampton, Father in-law Mike Hampton, and Grandparents .

Services will be held Friday April 26 at Legacy Funeral home in Anderson. Viewing 2:00pm with services starting at 4:00pm.

Following the services we will throw the party that Jon would have wanted to celebrate his life. Please join us at the Fireman’s Lodge (105 W 53rd St Anderson, IN) following the funeral for music, memories, laughter, and food. BYOB and plenty of stories!!!
