John J. Cornwell, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away January 29, 2024. John was born in Salem, IN, on March 6, 1938 to Orpha and John Cornwell, both deceased.
He had 3 sisters; Ona, Bonnie, and Vivian, all of whom are deceased.
John worked at the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier at Garfield Station for 31 years. He also worked at Marsh Grocery Store for 17.5 years.
He and his surviving wife Nancy were married 63 years. He is also survived by 4 nephews and 6 nieces.
Services will be held at Legacy - Lawrence on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 1PM; visitation will be from 11am to 1pm.
John will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
