John K. Barkdull

John K. Barkdull, a beloved member of the Anderson community, has passed away unexpectedly. Born in Anderson, IN, John was known for his free spirit, independence, and his knack for making everyone around him smile. He spent his career working as a painter for his brother, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Those who knew John will always remember him for his love of relaxation with a beer in hand. His personality shone through as he teased his brothers and brought joy to those in his company. John's hobbies included running and basketball, where he showcased his incredible athleticism. Additionally, he had a deep passion for music, appreciating all genres throughout his life.

In this time of mourning, we remember John for the joy he brought to our lives and the memories we shared with him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

John Barkdull is survived by his children Jamie Turner (John), Lindsey Merrill, Johnny Kellams, David Kellams, Jordan Kellams, and Sarah Kellams; several grandchildren; siblings Ron Barkdull (Kim Price), Brenda White, Mark Campbell (Rhonda), Steve Campbell (Dawna); and several nieces, nephews, and friends, who will hold onto the cherished moments and experiences they shared with him. May he rest in peace knowing he was loved and will be remembered fondly by many.
