Mr. John Albert Iozzo

John Albert Iozzo, 70, passed away at 12:30am on Friday, June 10th, 2022. He fought the good fight and when he left this world, he was surrounded by his four daughters and his wife in his beloved Old Northside home. 

He is survived by his wife, Diana, his daughters, Elizabeth, Virginia, Kristine and Meredith, his sister, Lani and his brother Tom. 

John was a member of the SILO Auto Conservancy, Old Northside Foundation, Indiana Landmarks Preservation Organization,  Society of St. Vincent DePaul- Indianapolis, Old Northside Knights of Columbus, Easy Street Band and The Indy Nile Band. 

Many people have described John as someone who never knew a stranger. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome with a firm handshake, a smile and a one-liner joke. He was the life of the party, the stage and the dance floor. 

The one thing John loved more than showing off his dance moves or playing bass with his band was being a father. He never missed an opportunity to sit with his “Fab 4” to share stories, random facts, life lessons and a cold beer. The memory of his profoundly interesting, meaningful and fun life is a gift his daughters will always treasure.

He cherished and loved all of his friends and family so very much. We ask that you help us keep his memory alive by continuing to tell the stories about the good times you shared.

A celebration of life will be held at the McGowan Hall, in the Old Northside Neighborhood, on Friday, July 8th at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, John requested that donations be made to McGowan Hall Foundation or Society of St. Vincent DePaul-Indianapolis.
