Jodha Rodecap

Jodha Rodecap, age 67, residing in Anderson, passed away after an extended illness on June 26, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson. She was born in Knoxville, TN on August 19, 1955, to the late J. D. Ward and Carzell (Wampler) Ward.

Jodha was a talented cosmetologist and worked in many different salons throughout her life. One of her proudest moments in life was competing in Mrs. Indiana 1987. Jodha was determined, perky, forceful, loving, and strong. She would do anything for anyone and always made sure that her family was taken care of. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to her and she enjoyed entertaining them. She had many hobbies, some of which included crafting, baking, and cooking. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jodha is survived by her husband of 51 years, Philip Rodecap; children Christina Smith and Angela Rodecap (Randi); grandchildren Mikayla, Chessaney, Allison (Shane), and Myka; great-grandchildren CarterJay, Presley, Jordan, Jamiah, Brantley, Noah, Dawson, Oakleigh, Easton, Sophia, and Kingston; siblings Sharon (Dick), Regina (Tom), and Sherry (Craig); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above, brother Jay Carroll Ward, brother Gerroll Ward, sister Lodha Ward, sister Rezina O’Dell, grandson Austin Rodecap, in-laws Herbert and Mauvella Rodecap, and brother-in-law Jeffrey Rodecap.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 30, 2023, from 3-4pm with a funeral service beginning at 4pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Anderson.
