Jo Ann (Firsich) Weiker, 80, of Westfield, Indiana, passed away August 26, 2026. Jo Ann was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Aloysius Firsich and Helen (Snipes, Firsich) Calhoun. She graduated from Scecina Memorial High School in 1964. She then went on to graduate from the Indiana Business College. Jo Ann's career began at the Associated General Contractors of Indiana (AGC) where she worked for over 20 years. She was an active member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) where she met her Best Friends Forever group (BFF). After AGC, Jo Ann started her own company and then moved into sales for several firms including The Estridge Group and Fine Promotions. She was active in the Westfield Chamber of Commerce. Also, while living in Westfield, she was an active parishioner for over 20 years at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church where she served as a lector and Eucharist minister. Jo Ann always had a zest for life. She raised 3 girls, traveled the world, took flying lessons, enjoyed gardening, fast cars, and had a flair for photography and home decor.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah (Weiker) Suckow, Sandy (Weiker) and Darnell Matthews, and Kimberly (Weiker) and Nick McDowell; grandchildren Nicholas Suckow and Megan Suckow; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Jo Ann is preceded in death by her sisters Carolyn (Minton) Fiddler, Mary Helen (Firsich, Mariner) Brown, Phyllis (Firsich) Duncan; brother Fred Firsich; and son-in-law Tom Suckow. The funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 14598 Oak Ridge Rd., Carmel, Indiana 46032 on Thursday September 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 - 10:55 a.m. A luncheon at the church will follow.
A private family interment will be held at Washington East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Jo Ann may be made to one of the following:
