Jerry Dean Fowler

Jerry Dean Fowler, 84, of Anderson, IN, passed away on June 4, 2024.  He was born on May 25, 1940, in Elwood, IN, to the late Delbert and Mary (Rubert) Fowler. Jerry graduated from Madison Height High School in 1959.  His 1^st job was at Hoosier Market from 1960 to 1963 and then he went to work at Delco for 30 years. Jerry worked in diecast, plant 7, 8, and 17. He was a proud member of UAW LOACL 662.

He loved his CB Radio handle Green Grass Hopper, also his Ham Radion handle 1352. He played basketball for Highland High School before they build Madison Height.  Jerry was proud member of Aletheia Church, a true Prayer Warrior.

Jerry married Kathleen Crowe on December 30, 1977.  For 47 years, they were always together.  They lived on Jerry’s sister’s farm, so family was always with them.  Jerry loved Kathy and his family very much.  He will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above; and 1 grandson, Korey Fowler.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Kathy Fowler; sister, Delberta “Bertie” Amos (Max); nieces and nephews, Brandon McCoy (Molly), Thias McCoy, Branlin McCoy, Avery Jarvis, and Nolan Jarvis; children, David Fowler (Kay), Pat Odell, of Hahira, GA, Terry Fowler (Rhonda) of Arcadia, IN, Teresa Poteet (Mike) of Ocala, FL, Rick Clark (Raubyn) of Forsyth, GA, and Patrick Clark (Jennifer Young) of Forsyth, GA; grandchildren, David Fowler Jr. (Karen), Jordan Brown, Jackie Odell, Kyle Fowler, Ryan McCully (Brigitte), and Krystal Crumbley (Ben); great grandchildren, Drake Fowler, Reese Fowler, Liam Odell, Cordelia McCully, Tatum Crumbley, Clayton Crumbley, and Monroe Cumbley.

Visitation will start at 11am on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 504 W. Ninth Street, Anderson; with a service to start at 12pm at the funeral home, resided by Paster Gary McCaslin.
