Jeff E. Wilcox, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 2, 2024. He was born on March 17, 1954, in Indianapolis to the late John and Connie (White) Wilcox. Jeff graduated from John Marshal High School in 1972. He was a grounds manager at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis for 30+ years, retiring in 2012.
Jeffrey loved to listen to music and played the drums and guitar. Jeff loved cars, especially drag racing with his friends at Racetrack and on TV. Jeff’s hobby was being outside with his dogs and working on his yard and flower beds.
He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Wilcox; stepson Jeremy E. Slate and his wife Traci, their 10 children and 2 grandkids; brother and sister-in-law Rustie and Linda Brill; Debbie’s stepbrother and his wife, Rick and Sisca George; and 2 other brothers and a half sister.
He is also survived by lots of friends and two special caregiver/friends, Stephanie (Keys) Campbell and for the past year Carri Lockhart-Camara.
There will be a private Celebration of Life with the family. Cremation Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence.
