It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jason Jamaal Wiley, 47, of Indianapolis, Indiana, who departed this life on May 28, 2025.
Jason was born on June 23, 1977, in Merrillville, IN to Howard Wiley, Jr. and Lorraine Parker. He was the oldest of 2 children from his mother, and the second oldest of 4 children from his father. From a young age, Jason was known for being rambunctious and very active.
Jason last attended Ben Davis High School and later graduated with his GED. He went on to pursue technical studies at DeVry University and went on to work in manual labor as he loved working with his hands. He was known for his incredible work ethic, determined spirit, and innocent laugh and smile by many that worked alongside him.
Jason was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, in whom he was baptized and revered as his Lord & Savior. One of his favorite scriptures was, “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the Lord will be exalted and safe.” - Proverbs 29:25 AMP
Jason enjoyed barbecuing, playing basketball, riding roller coasters at theme parks, and spending time with his family, children, and loved ones. He was passionate about protecting the ones he loved and cherished in his heart.
Jason is preceded in death by his grandparents Richard M. Parker, Mary R. (Jones) Parker, and Emma Ruth (Wiley) Franklin.
Jason is survived by his wife, Nofisat Imran; his sons: Jaylen Jamal, Jay’vion Jamar, and Jay’vious Jaquan; his parents Lorraine (James) Martin & Howard Wiley, Jr., his sisters: Jade Parker-Dinkins and Dominique Cherresse Wiley; his brothers: Howard LaRon Wiley, and Daniel Kareem Wiley; a grandfather, Nathaniel Hewston; his uncles: Charles Hewston and Raymond Hewston; an aunt Gayle (Parker) Pryor, and his best friend, Kory Martin. Jason also leaves behind a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 1-3PM at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services - Indianapolis, located at 1604 W. Morris Street.
