Janora Hallgarth, 72, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on January 21, 2025, at St. Vincent Anderson. She was born on July 1, 1952, to the late Willard Edmondson and Alice Morgan.
Janora grew up in Clay City, Indiana, and graduated from Clay City High School. Throughout her life, she cherished her love for gardening, crafting, and flowers. She found joy in cooking, fishing, and spending time with her family, and she was deeply connected to her Native American ancestry.
Janora is survived by her loving husband, Phil Hallgarth, with whom she recently celebrated 51 wonderful years of marriage. She also leaves behind her two children, Brent (Christina) Hallgarth and Brandi (Cory) Parker, both of Anderson; her sisters, Donna Northrop and Linda Turbeville; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Logan Parker, Whitney Parker, Kaleb Hallgarth, Gracie Hallgarth, Sophie Hallgarth, Bria Hallgarth, as well as step grandchildren Cadence Bartels, Tucker Bartels, and Jace Bartels.
Janora was preceded in death by her father, Willard Edmondson; her mother, Alice Morgan; and her sister, Sandi Rawlings.
Janora will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her love of family, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew her.
