Janell Sue Bricker

Janell Sue Bricker, age 82, of Anderson, passed away on July 9, 2023, at her home. She was born on December 14, 1940, to the late Richard and Dora Dean (Wash) Riley.

Janell was a kind and simple woman. She was determined in most things she did and always made sure her family never went without. She retired from Walmart after many years. She enjoyed her kids and grandkids dearly and spending time with them was one of her favorite things to do. In her younger years, Janell enjoyed playing cards. Getting visits from her friends was something she especially looked forward to. She loved to get her hair done. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janell is survived by her children John Ball (Heather), Judy Owen (Randy), and Venus Guerra (Eddie); grandchildren Christina Ball, Richard W. Ball (Brittney), Shawn Owen (Jaime), and Steven Owen; great-grandchildren KeAndre Simpson and Grace Owen; brothers and sisters Jane Hudspeth (Bill), R.A. Riley (Roberta), John Riley, Darrell Riley, Paula Lambert, Joe Riley, Aunt Libby Cook; caregivers Cassie and Tammy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Dora Dean Riley, husband Raymond Bricker, son Richard A. Ball, sisters Irma King and Faye Bales.

A visitation will be held on Thursday July 13, 2023, from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
