James R. “Rich” Semon, 84, of Alexandria, passed away on April 15, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on 2/22/1938 to the late Paul Semon and Marie (Fowler) Semon.
He served his country in the United States Air Force. In 2000, he retired from CXS Railroad after 43 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing in the U.P. of Michigan. He always loved putting out a yearly garden and spending time with his family and close friends. He was a big University of Michigan and Notre Dame sports fan.
Survivors include his wife Shirley (Disbennett) Semon, whom he married on April 23, 1960; two sons Brian (Terrie) Walker and Scott (Kelly) Semon; daughter Christy (Steven) Sayre; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Susan Carpenter; Uncle Larry (Barb) Allen; Aunt Evelyn Lynch; 4 nephews; 1 niece; and several cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, brother Larry Semon, niece Ann Fields, and brother-in-law Mike Carpenter.

Per his request, there will be no services held and cremation was chosen.
