James Lee Ellis

James Lee Ellis, 48, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away suddenly on April 25th, 2023.  James was born on July 6th, 1974, to Shellie Cooper and the late Frank Nora.

He was raised in Indianapolis and educated in the Indianapolis public school system.  After high school, he worked in construction for over 20 years.  James loved his children and he enjoyed gathering with family and friends at a BBQ or any event where food was being served.  He loved good food with a good drink.

Besides his mother, Shellie Cooper, James leaves to cherish his loved and memory his sons, Christopher and Frank; and his daughter, Jaime; his grandchildren, Romeo and Romell; his brother, George; and his sister, Harriett. James was preceded in death by his father, Frank Nora; and his brother, Robert.  He leaves behind two additional sons, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
